I am energetic, curious and eager to learn everything new.

I am confident, being part of a good team where I will become an outstanding specialist. I'm looking for a job that will present opportunities to learn new skills and develop professionally.

All the skills and knowledge I have as a designer today I acquired through active learning and taking on stretch assignments.

Through extensive experience I became proficient in photo and videography, video editing, HTML, and CSS. I took classes and worked in FLASH, Muse, Edge Animate, and PHP, and I gained hands-on experience in Google Adwords, Google Analytics, and SEO.

Ninja Skills

  • Processes optimization:

I am passionate about effective and efficient processes. I often take initiative to step back and examine the process flow, critical points, high risk tasks and value/no value-added components. Best processes are often simple and clear.

Natural curiosity and ability to see a high-level picture without missing crucial details helps me to organize the work processes from creating the vision to getting team's buy-in for improvement to developing and assigning project roles and training the end-users.

I have experience creating new processes from the conceptual design stage all the way to delivering the final product.

To the right, see two process flaws I spotted and took initiative to resolve

    ▼     ▼     ▼     ▼     ▼

Was: Unorganized decentralized Image Database with no conventional naming for images or name differentiating characteristics.

Pain: Large amount of time wasted searching for the needed images for departmental and other departments' needs. The need to manually save multiple copies in different formats: CMYK/RGB, JPEG/PSD, HiRes/LowRes. Repetitive process prone to human error. No version control.

Improvement: Streamlined and automated image saving process and database by:

    • Designing the script for Adobe Photoshop to automate image saving including creating unique name per new convention.

    • Creating conventional naming for the images based on categories, brands, customers and type of shots.

    • Creating version control with version tracking feature.

Bottom Line: Centralized Image Database available for use to the whole company. Time saving of 80% per employee per task of processing/saving and/or finding the needed image. Routine repetitive process cut down to a "few clicks" task.

  • Case #2: Pre-Press work optimization

Was: Manual routine pre-press process requiring high attention to detail, where mistakes can results in printed packages not conforming and being rejected = re-work time, significant extra cost for re-print and unmet customer deadlines.

Pain: On average, 10-20 designs sent to printing company daily. Designers spend hours on saving the files in different required formats, packaging raster files used in the artworks, checking color-modes and converting, if saved incorrectly. Quality control is manual, tedious and time consuming.

Improvements: Automated and optimized the pre-press process by creating the Abode Illustrator script that:

Checks the pantone colors in the artwork against the accepted colors list and offers options on future treatment

Saves the files in all required formats

Collects all the files linked for the project in the artwork folder

Converts raster files to CMYK color-mode

    • Packages files to .zip

Bottom line: Significant expenses associated with human error in pre-press work are eliminated. Time spent by designers on the task reduced by ~15 times. Quality control task is partially automated and reduced in time by ~4-8 times.
